Your child will encounter many milestones in their learning journey, which we record using a tool called ‘Tapestry’. Tapestry is an online journal which records your child’s progress through the use of observations, development milestones and photo/video evidence. Parents are given access to Tapestry through an app which parents can use to check the progress of their child, obtain an understanding of how their child is developing and contribute to their learning by adding photos and observations from home.
The Statutory Framework for the Early years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Development Matters are worked and fulfilled within our nursery. Our members of staff observe, assess, plan, develop and implement a range of learning experiences for each child, which is dependent on their age and stage of development. The professionals teaching and supporting your child will make sure that the activities are suited to your child’s unique needs and make learning fun and engaging by getting to know each child’s interests and likes.
From when your child is born, up until the age of 5, their early year’s experience should be happy, active, exciting, fun and secure; and support their development, care and learning needs- which we aim to achieve at Playdays.
Our nurseries offer the finest education and childcare for children aged from three months to the time they go to school. For further information, request our parent pack below.
We focus children’s learning around their age and stage of development and tailor the activities to individual children, giving them the confidence and ability to learn at their own pace, whilst still encouraging children to reach vital milestones.
Our teams are qualified and trained to recognise and support any development delays and work together with the room supervisor and nursery managers to implement any additional support required, all of which will be communicated with parents from the start.
Our nursery offers parents the opportunity to attend parents evenings twice a year to discuss their child's development and progress at Playdays, alongside school transition meetings.
we understand and value the diversity of languages in our setting, therefore effective planning will allow children to show their skills by playing and learning in their home language.

At Playdays we understand and value the diversity of languages in our setting, therefore effective planning will allow children to show their skills by playing and learning in their home language. The Enabling Environment will reflect a child’s culture for their learning to be exciting and relevant
At Playdays we also work towards promoting British Values; encouraging children to work as a team, understand boundaries with each other, making decisions together, yet have mutual respect for others as individuals, no matter their gender, culture, religion, or disability.
